After levy, your bank is required to pay the amount taken from your bank accounts. However, it cannot send more than the amount shown on the notice of levy. But also, the bank cannot send the funds immediately. The law requires your bank to wait 21 calendar days after a levy is issued, before the funds are paid to the government.
