In the Wake of Amundsen is a planned expedition through the Northwest Passage in 2026, with the ship Alma af Frøya. Get to know the crew, the ship and learn about the aim behind the project in this video.
Alma af Frøya is a replica of the ship Gjøa, which was used by the Norwegian explorer Roald Amundsen in the first ever transitt of the passage in 1906. Terje Pedersen, the owner of Alma and the expedition leader, baught Alma with the purpose of sailing through the passage. And now he has put together a crew that will train and sail together in the years to come, and on the expedition.
