there are many many black folk that value being in natural spaces and encourage others to do the same. this is not me saying that there aren’t, nor in any way positioning myself as someone who is better for choosing to be in these spaces. we all like what we like and if the outdoors isn’t for you, that’s fine!! i am simply speaking on a personal observation that in these natural spaces, we are very rarely the majority. this is how my brain processes that gap and how i think it may be connected to greater cultural perspectives. this is the semi-final product of an evolving thought.
