The bulk of shipping tonnage is in the Northern Hemisphere; between China, US and Europe. In order to reduce CO2 emissions of air freight per lbs-mile, a conceptual operation and design of an autonomous dynamic soaring cargo motorglider using the jet stream is discussed.
