However, if IRN is generated with wrong information, it can be cancelled and generated afresh.
The cancellation is required to be done within 24 hours from the time of generation.

If there is a mistake, incorrect or wrong entry in the e-invoice, then it cannot be edited or corrected.
Only option is cancellation of e-invoice and generation of a new one with correct details.
Whether e-invoices generated through GST system can be partially / fully cancelled?
E-Invoice can’t be partially cancelled. It has to be fully cancelled.
Cancellation has to be done as per process defined under Accounting Standards.
The e-invoice mechanism enables invoices to be cancelled.
