With Detroit's Orchestra Hall in the background, I recorded the Stereogram #3(Dedicated to George Roberts) by David William Brubeck to serenade to the old girl on a warm afternoon in July of 2020 from the parking garage across the street. May the ghost of Ossip Gabrilowitsch (1878-1936)live forever in good health. He was music director of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra when he asked the board of directors to build this wonderful hall, which celebrated it's 100th birthday in October of 2019. It was slated for demolition in the late 1960's but was saved by an organization organized by then assistant principal bassoonist Paul Ganson. It was restored and reopened fully in 1990.
