Hergé originally published The Blue Lotus, the fifth Tintin adventure, in black and white in 1935-1936, but ten years later it was coloured and redrawn by him and his studiomates. In this video I take a quick look at the differences in the two versions, and spotlight a couple of things that stood out to me, including the condensing of the page layouts, the original extra colour plates, the background details added, the expansion of smaller panels, and more!
