Описание: Gainesville Florida Board Certified Criminal Defense attorney Matt Landsman describes three issues that frequently come up in Fleeing and Eluding cases. Fleeing and Eluding is a third degree felony in Florida punishable by up to 5 years in prison and up to $5000 fine. It is not a defense to the charge if the police were stopping you without probable cause. There is no special exception for drivers so they don't have to pull over until they are in a well lit area or feel safe. When police ask you "did you see me trying to pull you over?" that is an attempt to elicit a confession, since to prove the crime of Fleeing and eluding the State must prove you have knowledge of being pulled over.
