The Artemis II mission is officially more than halfway to the moon! 🚀 As of Saturday, April 4, 2026, the Orion spacecraft has traveled over 160,000 miles from Earth and is accelerating toward its historic lunar flyby scheduled for Monday, April 6.
In this video, we track the real-time position of the four-person crew—Reid Wiseman
, Victor Glover
, Christina Koch
, and Jeremy Hansen
—as they prepare to become the first humans in over 50 years to see the Moon's far side up close. We’ll look at the latest mission data from NASA's Artemis Real-time Orbit Website (AROW) and discuss the upcoming "free-return" trajectory that will slingshot them back to Earth for a splashdown on April 10.
