Live! ACNH New Island - 3.0 Update

Animal Crossing New Horizons first launched in March of 2020 right when the world shut down due to the Covid 19 Pandemic. The game exploded in popularity and sold significantly past projections, becoming one of the best selling games on the Nintendo Switch.

ACNH went on to provide live service updates to the game for nearly three years but stopped updating the game after the 2.0 update and DLC. That is, until now. Nintendo just dropped a bombshell that ACNH is getting new content for the first time in years. There is a huge huge huge 3.0 update coming January of 2026.

I recently uploaded a video giving an island tour of my island. I've had it since launch. The video did decently well compared to some of my videos and I have been in an Animal Crossing mood since the 3.0 announcement so I thought why not start a new island? I have the ability to start a second island on my Switch since all of my save data for my original island moved to the Switch 2.

This is day 17 on the new island. The 3.0 update is live so in additional to the usual island maintenance, we will be checking out the 3.0 stuff like the hotel. We also have to do our Happy Home Paradise and Harv's Island. Then we can work on decorating and moving the island along. Should be a busy day in Animal Crossing
