🔹 Common System of Nomenclature

🔹 Trivial System of Nomenclature

The trivial system uses historically popular or widely accepted names of organic compounds. These names are not systematic but are still commonly used in laboratories and textbooks.
Example: Chloroform, Toluene.

🔹 IUPAC System of Nomenclature

The IUPAC system is the internationally accepted scientific method of naming organic compounds. It follows specific rules based on carbon chain length, functional groups, and substituents, ensuring each compound has a unique and universal name.

Example: Ethanoic acid, Methane.
