The Prime Minister has insisted to Sky News that he is not trying to "avoid scrutiny" over partygate and he has "nothing to hide".
Boris Johnson said he doesn't want "endless discussion" on the subject before the Met Police has concluded its investigation.
The Prime Minister is on a two-day visit to India and spoke to Sky's Political Editor Beth Rigby outside the Akshardham temple in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
