Queensland Rail's interurban Multiple Unit 160 series (IMU 160), alongside the Suburban Multiple Unit 260 series (SMU 260) were introduced in 2008 simultaneously and were built by Downer Rail Maryborough, in partnership with Bombardier Transportation (who would later manufacture the New Generation Rollingstock rollingstocks) and are tied with the SMU 260s for the second newest type of rollingstock in revenue service. They are based off the Transperth B series ordered before these.
In this video, unusually, the guard makes no platform announcements for East Ipswich, but does one just before the doors open at Booval. This train would later come to be delayed at Riverview and then run express from Darra to Milton stopping only at Corinda and Indooropilly due to a signal failure.
