This is a Motormouth couple car review of the 2022 Porsche Targa 4 Gas sports-car! The 911 Targa is a timeless classic with its characteristic Targa bar in satin black aluminum, an innovative roof concept and the original Targa logo, it is by far my favourite Porsche. The electrically operated, fully automatic roof can be raised and lowered in 19 seconds while stationary.
The Targa 4 GTS has a 3L twin-turbocharged flat-six with a 7-speed manual or an 8-speed PDK, 473 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque, standard AWD.
The Targa 4 GTS goes 0-100 km/h in 3.5 seconds with the sport chrono package and 0-60 mph in 3.3 seconds with a top speed of 307 km/h or 190 mph. The GTS comes with LED headlights in black including the Porsche dynamic light system, available Matrix design LED headlights, an LED lightbar, an automatic extending rear spoiler, recessed door handles, a sport exhaust system with two oval tailpipes in high gloss black and different 911 Turbo S wheel sizes. At the front you’ll find 20” wheels and the rear 21” plus summer performance tires giving this 911 an athletic look. You can also add at no charge, Carrera S wheels and RS Spyder design wheels. With its driver focused cockpit and sporty interior design, it comes standard with 4-way sport seats, black Race-Tex upholstery, black brushed aluminum trim, a 10.9” touchscreen with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, an instrument cluster with a central analog rev counter and two 7” display screens plus a heated steering wheel. The Targa 4 GTS starts at $181,200 CAD/$162,700 USD. Price as tested $215,095 CAD with extra features like a leather interior, shark blue seat belts, front axle lift system, power steering plus, GT sport steering wheel, premium package with the Bose sound system, power folding exterior mirrors, surround view monitor, lane change assist and ambient lighting.
