Описание: An autorotation is a flight maneuver performed after having an engine failure or other specific malfunction. This maneuver allows the pilot to fly the helicopter either to the desired safe landing area, OR the to crash site. The success of the maneuver is usually determined not only by the pilot's skill, but also on the pilot's ability to keep the aircraft in a safe flight profile throughout the given flight. Repetitive practice of this maneuver under all flight profiles, is critical to the successful outcome when the malfunction is no longer "practice."
