Economic strain for consumers

Описание: Consumers are taking strain as the cost of living rises, amidst weak economic growth and high unemployment. Retail trade sales contracted for a second consecutive month in January, recording a decline of 0.8% year on year in the month, down from a 0.5% contraction in December 2022. The largest negative contributors to this decrease were retailers in food, beverages and tobacco in specialised stores as well as hardware stores.
