What you're about to watch is a bucket list adventure deep in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest — home to over 50 mountain gorilla families. In this video, we take you on two very different treks to encounter these incredible creatures up close.

Brian experiences the traditional gorilla trek, spending one unforgettable hour with a fully habituated gorilla group that's used to human presence. Meanwhile, I take on the tougher challenge: a habituation trek, where we spend up to four hours with a wild gorilla family still adjusting to people.

The terrain is steep, muddy, and unpredictable — but every step supports conservation. Thanks to gorilla trekking permits and responsible tourism, mountain gorillas are no longer critically endangered. This video shows it all: the beauty, the struggle, the humor, and the raw emotion of seeing gorillas in the wild.
