When it's time to clean under the toilet seat, don't waste your time doing it the old way: take some toilet paper, spray it with your favorite degreaser (preferably a foam one), saturate the toilet paper thoroughly, and then carefully insert it into the rim around the top of the bowl. Leave in place for a while to soak in, then remove the paper, flush, and the dirt will be gone.

When the air freshening cage for your toilet runs out, don't throw the cage away: you can refill it with soft, yellow, potassium soap; shape it into balls of that'll fit the cage and put it back in place. This recycling method will save you money and without sacrificing cleanliness.

Another option is to fill the cage with leftover soap pieces you can gather up from around the house!
