The Meaning of Amitabha Buddha Mantra:
OM - The transformation of our body, speech, and mind into the Buddha's pure body, speech, and mind.
AMI - Infinite, limitless light.
DEWA - Deity of Buddha Nature.
HRIH - Seed syllable of Buddhas in the Western Buddha realm; The Meditation of kindness and compassion.
The Benefit of Chanting Amitabha Mantra:
Due to Amitabha Buddha's emanating compassion, he vowed that, through chanting his name or the recollection of him, he would deliver sentient beings to the Western Buddha Pure Realm, and liberate them from suffering during the time of Bardo, the intermediate time after death. There are immeasurable benefits and protections that come from chanting this mantra.
