Doing an audio comparison between standard velocity Remington Gold hp .22LR, CCI .22LR and CCI quiet .22 710fps. Using dB Meter (link below) to measure the sound straight off my iPhone, so no microphone or anything. Temperature was about 39°.
After watching and rewatching and comparing the audio from the video to actually hearing it, both standard velocity rounds were noticeably quieter suppressed while shooting than dB meter read. I honestly think the dB jump is from the sound of the round going down range. Didn’t have a good way to isolate that sound though.
Either way, the rifle is a hoot to shoot!
