The African American Voices Gospel Choir (AAVGC) is a non-denominational gospel choir as well as non-profit student organization at The Ohio State University located in Columbus, Ohio.

Mission Statement: Our purpose is to foster an environment on campus whereby students can come together to celebrate God’s existence through music and art while striving to achieve academic excellence. And while doing so, sharing the African American tradition with others.

Founded in 1989 by Dr. Lee J. Jones, the choir strives for excellence in our mission to worship and bring glory to God. The choir is one whole unit consisting of three powerful sub-ministries: Dancing To Zion (DTZ), our liturgical dance ministry, Expressions of Worship (EOW), our mime ministry, and E.D.I.F.Y., our smaller ensemble ministry.
