Aburi sushi [Salmon & Shrimp]
Aburi literally means “flame seared”, the fish is flame-torched on top of rice, and it can be pressed into a box.
One of popular sushi dish among sushi lovers
Instructions :
1 Wash 2 cups (Rice cup) of sushi rice throughly and cooking with 1.8 cup of water in the rice cooker
[Salmon Aburi sushi ]
2. Sliced the salmon evenly display in the container. Also place a plastic wrap at bottom to avoid sticky on the container.
3. Once rice is cooked, seasoning with sushi vinegar and set aside to cooling down.
4. After rice is cooling down, transfer to the container on the top of sliced salmon .
5. Try to push rice as flat as you can. You can cover with plastic wrap and press down by another container.
6. Flip another side, take out the salmon rice. Cut into small pieces.
7. Brushing salmon with soy sauce and mirin mixture to seasoning, and some mayonnaise.
8. Torch mayo and part of salmon. Garnish with sliced Serrano pepper.
[Shrimp Aburi sushi ]
9. Use bamboo Skewer to prevent the Shrimps bending after cooking. Then boiling to fully cook.
10. Open up the back of shrimp by knife but not cut it through. So it can stay on the sushi rice.
11. Same as salmon, seasoning with soy sauce and mirin mixture. Then mayo on the top.
12. Torch mayo and garnish with masogo.
