Based on a true story, the song tells the tale of Lucy's great (x3) uncle who was a fisherman from the Shetland isle of Yell. One day, while fishing Daniel and his crew caught a mermaid! Knowing this would bring the very worst of luck - the men quickly slipped her back to sea. Amazed at this beautiful unearthly creature they had seen, they documented everything they could about the way she looked. When they returned to shore, they gave statements to the justice of the peace, swearing that what they had witnessed was true. Daniel never went out to sea again.

This collaboration is to celebrate the end of Lucy's #globalmusicmatch feature week.
