I use an Osprey reservoir because it has a flip-top fill, a padded back, and a lip that makes filling easier in tight spaces. The bite valve can break if you chew hard on it, but I keep a spare in my pack and it only happens once or twice a year. Some CamelBak models use twist-tops that leak if you don't thread them perfectly. I stick with reservoirs when I'm carrying clean water from home. For backcountry filtering, I use Smart Water bottles and a Sawyer Squeeze instead.
