Today, we’re checking out the craziest stories from movie sets. We’ve got stories from Titanic involving a VERY special batch of chowder, some very unexpected actors' experiences - like when Benedict Cumberbatch was kidnapped. The Grinch had some seriously intense co-workers - you’ll be shocked to know why CIA torture experts were brought to set! The crew on the movie Premium Rush thought they were going to lose Joseph Gordon-Levitt after he was unexpectedly cut off by a rogue taxi. Speaking of cars on set - the Batmobile was once mistaken for an Alien spaceship by a drunk driver who drove right into the production’s car! There are some workplace hazards that come with playing Wolverine in X-Men - mainly the long prop claws that cut him when he was caught running on set in the nude. At least that’s what he thought until all the female crew members were waving dollar bills to surprise him.
The Harry Potter set was full of magic and apparently, some pretty crazy restrictions. Alan Rickman banned Matthew Lewis and Rupert Grint from being closer than five feet to his car. Pockets of all the cast members' gowns had to be sewn shut to stop them all from sneaking food and drinks onto the set!
Horror movies are creepy enough as is, but The Amityville Horror remake with a young Ryan Reynolds faced some pretty creepy stuff - like a body washing up near their set and spooky wakeups for many cast members. Oh, and we can’t forget the secret Avengers Music Video…
