Three days later, burned and traumatized, he returned to Nagasaki and tried to warn people about what he saw in Hiroshima. Nobody believed him. Then it happened again—Nagasaki was hit by the second atomic bomb, with him in the middle of it.
This is the story of the only man officially recognized as having survived both Hiroshima and Nagasaki. A story about decisions that seemed rational, warnings that were ignored, and a tragedy that happened twice in the same week.
