Toum in 2 minutes
My video on how to make perfect, fluffy toum, an amazing Lebanese garlic sauce in 2 minutes with an immersion/hand blender. Follow the video and you'll be making this with ease anytime you want a perfect accompaniment to grilled chicken, meat, fish, even with fried chicken chips or just added to some pasta for a quick flavour upgrade! This has a really strong garlic flavour but will mellow out (just a little) after a day or so in the fridge. Give it a try! You can also add some water to thin it out and give a Halal Guys style white sauce.
Also use this a base to make the Albaik Garlic sauce by adding milk and lemon juice to the desired consistency.
Ingredients
4-5 cloves roughly chopped garlic (add more if you want a thicker sauce)
1 tsp of sea salt (using Maldon here but adjust to taste)
1 egg white
150ml oil (any neutral flavoured oil should work fine)
1-2 tsp lemon juice
