This video discusses the difference between percussion and vibration massage. We first look at the differences between the two. Percussion works like a jackhammer, whereas vibration massage penetrates with vibrations like a construction compactor. We look at the scientifically proven effects, amount of penetration and the safety of each. Vibration massage has excellent scientifically proven effects, excellent penetration and is relatively safe. On the other hand percussion unjustly tries to claim the scientific effects of vibration massage, penetrates less, and can easily cause injury
We discuss how to tell these apart using the amplitude of head movement and the shape of the heads. We also introduce a third category of massager: consumer massagers which look like massagers, but are not effective as either a percussion massager or vibration massager.
