In Episode 3 of Road to $1M, we break down how to pass out door hangers the right way to generate landscaping leads.
Before the season really kicks off, our goal is simple: create as many opportunities as possible. That means getting out into neighborhoods, distributing door hangers, running quotes, and putting in the work to get our name in front of homeowners.
A few key lessons we’ve learned:
• Scope neighborhoods first – look for areas that match the type of projects you want.
• Hit every door so the neighborhood starts recognizing your brand.
• Volume matters early – tracking is helpful, but in the beginning the priority is getting your name out there.
• Make your funnel smooth – your website, quote process, and scheduling should make it easy for homeowners to contact you.
When jobs start coming in, the strategy changes. Every time we’re on a job site we go door-to-door nearby to try and land multiple projects in the same area. That reduces travel time and keeps crews working efficiently.
