These are a typical innovation from Gemini. We've been using these leads since they first came on the market, and they are absolutely brilliant! The baitclip mechanism secures the hook in place, so that it cannot fall free from the clip until the lead impacts with the water. Brilliant for off the ground casters who can have problems with the bait falling off the clip at the start of the cast. Also great for use with larger baits which can also prove difficult to keep on the baitclip.
