Rules:
1. Master difficulty for all battles.
2. I’m minimizing experience gain by only fighting forced battles (with a few exceptions) and not doing any optional challenge quests. I can recruit demons without worrying about experience, but I’m not talking with them otherwise. Flynn is alive at the end of every fight, so he always gains experience.
3. No fusing demons, not even to whisper skills to Flynn. Evolution is acceptable.
4. No skill changes or using the Skill Plugin app in order to make it reasonable for someone else to repeat this with my strategies.
5. No stat boosting items or apps.
I decided to showcase both routes here to see what the bosses are like for this challenge, but I used Walter's route to continue my playthrough.
This battle was one of the biggest surprises for me in terms of difficulty. She’s one of my favorite bosses in this run since she actually requires quality decision-making to defeat, whereas most of the other tough bosses up to this point have been heavily RNG-based. There are a lot of things that make her difficult: First of all, Mediarama still isn't available and Media heals so little at this point that it's almost worthless, so you have to make do with only 5 Bead Chains for the entire battle. Secondly, she’s strong against all elements and has a large HP pool, and her only weakness is gun. Lastly, her skillset is difficult to deal with as well. She is one of the only bosses that carries Silent Prayer, and she uses it fairly often. She also has Maziodyne, which is pretty strong without buffs and debuffs. Dream Needle deals a solid amount of damage and will likely put the target to sleep. Finally, there’s Megidola, which deals a lot of damage, and sometimes you can't survive it without buffs. Additionally, I think she uses Megidola every time you use Tetrakarn, so I don’t think that's an option.
Quicksilver is an amazing demon for this battle, since it has a great skillset after evolving from Poltergeist. It nulls gun, repels electric, has a cheap gun skill in Needle Shot, and has Healing Knowhow, which is very valuable in this battle. The entire battle other demons are being swapped in and out to buff and debuff, but Quicksilver is always in there to attack and steal Lilith’s press turns.
Although Lilith has Silent Prayer, I tried to set up buffs and debuffs early on to try to deal a lot of damage before she removed them. After that, I just tried to use enough buffs to survive. Flynn went down a few times, but luckily Quicksilver was always able to revive him. I had to use all five Bead Chains to survive, so it’s fortunate that there's the option to continue the run from Walter’s route.
Looking back, I think I could have made this fight a lot easier if I had recruited a few more gun-resisting demons, but it worked out eventually. It wasn't really worth it because I wasn't even continuing the run on this save file.
8:05 This turn hurt. I’m pretty surprised that I was able to make it back from this.
