John McSweeney, Marketing & Export Director shows the lift on Terry Lifts' stand and demonstrates its operation. This year, Terry Lifts have participated in the Naidex Innovation trail. "When people come into the show, they can pick up where the new products are", John explains, pointing out to the yellow star marked on the lift.

John talks about the new option of automatic gates on the lift. "The Melody 3 replaces the Melody 2 lift. It needs to, because that product wasn't able to offer automation to the carriage gates. Smooth operation of the gate allows a wheelchair user to easily gain access to the lift, close the gate behind them and travel up."

"The lift is hydraulic and there are two platform sizes, 900 x 1400 and 1100 x 1400 mm. The lift can travel up to 3 metres. It is suitable for domestic as well as public access environments, without requiring alterations to the specifications in any way. Whether it's placed outdoors or indoors, it's the same lift and the same price.", John says.

"There is a hydraulic pump unit, which can be located within 5 metres of the lift. This gives flexibility as it doesn't need to be situated next to the lift. One of the key features of the lift is that it doesn't require a lift pit, although it can have a lift pit - internal only. Melody 3 has its own integral ramp, so you don't need to place an unsightly ramp outside of the lift."
