Many river fish kept in aquariums comes from different countries of the world.

But India is also blessed with amazing and beautiful river fish varieties coming from various rivers of india.

Many monster fish and giant fish varieties are endemic to the indian rivers.

Due to lack of knowledge and awareness, aquarium hobbyists aren't knowing about the various river fishes of india.

These river fishes of india can be kept as aquarium fish and also in community fish tanks but these indian fish can grow upto more than a feet easily so the tank space should be kept in mind before adding any indian river fish.
The River Fish of India covered in this video are as follows:

1. Bagarius Catfish - River Fish of India. The Bagarius cat fish is also known as goonch catfish or devil catfish. The Bagarius cat fish comes from the rivers of North Bengal & Assam. The Bagarius Catfish has a velvet body showing spikes with erect fins. It is advisable that this cat fish should be kept in a large fish tank as it grows huge in size. The Bagarius Catfish feeds on live fish, dead fish, shrimps and even blood worms.

2. Golden Cobra Snakehead - River Fish of India The Golden Cobra Snakehead fish is a channa species. This fish is known to originate from the Brahmaputra River of India.

This monster fish can be kept with arowanas, bichirs alligator gars. It feeds on live fish and shrimps. The Golden Cobra Snakehead has a body of a fish and head like a snake.

3. Channa Bleheri - River Fish of India The Channa Bleheri is also a Snake Head known as the most colourful species of Snakehead. The Channa Bleheri Indian river fish is endemic to the brahmaputra river basin of India.

The Channa Bleheri can grow upto 4 to 5 feet in lenght in the wild.
