This was a video address at the opening meeting of the 5th annual Former Adventist Fellowship conference held February 12-14, 2010, in Redlands, California. Pastor Bubar co-leads a Former Adventist Fellowship Bible study at his church in St. Joseph, Michigan.
Pastor Bubar is a 1978 graduate of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Both Phil and his wife Lisa graduated from Wheaton College with their undergraduate degrees. Pastor Phil was the first pastor of Christ Evangelical Free Church in eastern Pennsylvania, serving there for seventeen years. They arrived in St. Joseph in 1995 to begin ministry at The Chapel Evangelical Free Church. He and Lisa have two children.
