Iran on Wednesday disconnected International Atomic Energy Agency cameras tasked with monitoring the country's nuclear sites.
The move came hours before the UN nuclear watchdog adopted a resolution criticizing the country for a lack of cooperation.
The IAEA had expressed concerns about traces of enriched uranium found at three sites Tehran had not declared as hosting nuclear activities.
Diplomatic sources noted that the IAEA censure, the first to criticize Iran since June 2020, was approved by 30 countries and has officially been adopted with only Russia and China voting against it.
The US, the UK, France, and Germany have all urged Iran to "cooperate with the IAEA".
