Gao's deck features his buddy Drum Bunker Dragon and his various forms throughout season 1 of the show. Including his signature impact card Gargantua Punisher!! restanding the Vanguard to attack with twin drive at end of turn if you persona rode and your opponent is at 4 or more damage. His signature item, Sunfist Sunshine Impact powers himself and rear-guards with Drum in their card name in the front row by +5k power. Also it can allow him to gain infinite power and critical if you discard an item of the same name during a Link Attack with your buddy monster! Using the power of Link Attacks Gao can do multiple attacks combining power with his rear-guards, allowing for a massive attack and then consecutive attacks from Drum. The buddy monster showcased in most lists is Neo Dragon Drum the Future, who can perform a drive check for counterblast 1 if you're at 4 or more damage, or if you persona rode this turn. He can also turn off autos stopping normal sentinels similar to Starry Sky Night Zero in King of Knights Alfred.
