Malaysians were in shock when the Keeper of the Ruler’s Seal, Tan Sri Syed Danial Syed Ahmad, announced that Hari Raya Aidilfitri would fall on the 2nd of May instead of the 3rd as indicated by many calendars.
The sudden announcement left many, including myself scrambling to do last minute shopping for Hari Raya.
The only place I knew that would be selling Baju Raya, the clothing worn during the Muslim festivities, is the Bazar Aidilfitri Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman (TAR) in Kuala Lumpur.
The famous bazaar has returned after being closed for 2 years due to the pandemic. You can find just about anything, such as shawls, traditional clothing, home decorations, cookies, etc.
Watch me brave the sea of sweaty people at 2 in the morning.
