New railway stations at Lynbrook and Cardinia Rd

Описание: The Victorian Government is building new railway stations across Melbourne, including at Lynbrook and at Cardinia Road in Pakenham.

Cardinia Road railway station will be located between the existing Officer and Pakenham stations on the Pakenham line, while Lynbrook railway station will be located between the existing Dandenong and Merinda Park stations on the Cranbourne line.

Cardinia Road station will service the populations of Officer and Pakenham which are set to grow by almost 40,000 people within the next ten years.

The new Cardinia Rd station will include:
• two platforms with passenger shelters and seating
• pick-up bays for buses and a taxi rank
• a park and ride facility with more than 450 spaces, and drop-off zones
• ticket machines, timetable and passenger information displays
• closed circuit camera security surveillance (CCTV)
• pedestrian and bicycle access, as well as a bike shelter.

Lynbrook railway station will improve public transport access for residents in the growing suburbs of Lynbrook and Lyndhurst, which are expected to grow to 80,000 people by 2021.

The new Lynbrook station will feature:
• two platforms with passenger shelters and seating
• bus stops and a taxi rank
• a park and ride facility with approximately 250 spaces, plus drop-off zones
• ticket machines, timetables and passenger information displays
• closed circuit camera security surveillance (CCTV)
• pedestrian and bicycle access, as well as a bike shelter.
