The Rhythm Wolf has a separate out for the percussion elements and one the synth part. The Percussion is running into the 1/4 TS instrument input and the synth is going into the XLR input over a 1/4 TRS to XLR cable, which is what Akai recommends for the synth output.
The only processing running is an EQ band passing (cut frequencies below 30Hz and above 19KHz) on each channel and very subtle sidechain compression running on the synth channel. I duplicated the percussion in channel, EQ'd everything out but the low kick frequencies, muted it's output to the master, and used that as a silent trigger for the sidechain compressor because the full percussion wasn't triggering tightly. Also, it was actually easier to drag a raw iPhone video into Ableton than to use a webcam and capture video. Native MOV file, and it wasn't using computer resources to record.
