Описание: Example of a disturbance, in this case, a major wildfire in the Marble Mountain Wilderness of northern California. Initially grasses and strubs colonize the ecosystems, known as the "pioneer stage." Eventually ecological succession occurs. After some time, the forest will regrow and regenate itself back to it's original ecosystem. More in equilibrium over time, that is, more resistant to pest, disease and even wildfires, this forest will eventualy return to a "mature" or climax community.
