This was the main reason behind our weeks holiday in Scotland in September 2024. To make the 4 mile walk to Sandwood Bay - the remotest beach in the United Kingdom.
The weather was stunning on the 19th September 2024 - we needed sunscreen and plenty of water.
The walk wasn't difficult and we enjoyed a nearly empty beach at the end of it.
Parking and toilets available at the start point at Blairmore - maintained by the John Muir Trust.
