Описание: In this episode of Inkounters, we talk to Andreas, who lends his brutal vocals to the Copenhagen Deathcore band Cabal.

We met up with him after Cabal’s ear-splitting, earth-shattering, mind-blowing set at Copenhell 2019 to talk about shitty first tattoos, cover-ups, as well as how music and tattooing merge perfectly due to both being part of an intense counterculture.

Although he may growl out some brutal vox with the backdrop of demonic drums and guttural guitars, Andreas is totally approachable and thrives in a creative atmosphere. It makes sense, then, that tattoos would be another outlet for him to express himself. He talked about how, when he was 16, he walked into the first tattoo studio he knew wouldn't check his ID. Unfortunately, he walked out of the shop with a typical trendy nautical star that really didn't illustrate the finer points of Andreas' personality. But, in the end, he had it removed and replaced with a Traditional panther tattoo. While the panther piece rests on one side of his stomach, the last tattoo Andreas got was some ink to balance out the space on his torso. His friend Peter, aka Pete Patience, gave him a Traditional wolf tattoo as a sweet birthday gift.

As most people will tell you, tattoos and music go hand in hand for many reasons. Many tattooists thank punk rock as the introduction into tattoo culture, while others, like Andreas, resonate more with things like death metal, black metal, djent, and hardcore. But Andreas isn't the only one in Cabal who has a special connection to tattoos...his bandmate Malthe happens to be a tattoo artist.
