Reichmann has developed an efficient solution for automatic casting finishing of manhole covers in different shapes and sizes. The particular challenge was to automatically process the extremely large range of approx. 2000 different manhole covers available on the market without time-consuming conversion work.
With the help of a specially developed universal chuck for the RFC 800 casting finishing center, this challenge was easily solved. The device can be converted from prismatic to round parts with minimal setup effort and covers a wide range of different workpiece diameters and angular contours. The processing in the casting finishing center RFC 800 is fully automatic based on defined program sequences. The customer benefits from extremely high time efficiency and automated processes.
