Ingredients
• All-purpose flour: 370 g
• Water: 197–198 g (lukewarm)
• Instant yeast: 5 g
• Large egg: 1
• Honey or sugar: 52–53 g
• Softened butter: 28 g
• Salt: 1 tsp
• Vanilla: 2.5 g
Egg Wash
• Egg yolk: 1
• Milk or cream: ½ tbsp
Instructions
1. Mix all the ingredients together using a hand mixer or a stand mixer, just until combined.
2. Cover and let the dough rest for 2 hours, until doubled in size.
3. Grease your hands, place the dough on the work surface, and shape it by rotating and tucking it under until smooth.
4. Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces, place them on a baking tray, cover, and let rest for 1 hour.
5. Brush with egg wash.
6. Bake at 180°C (355°F) for 25 minutes.
