The International Hyperhidrosis Society created this training module with Dr David Pariser to focus on how to diagnose primary hyperhidrosis, a disorder characterized by uncontrollable excessive sweating that far exceeds the body’s needs for thermoregulation, or as a result of stress.
Despite being relatively common, hyperhidrosis is largely misunderstood, often goes undiagnosed, leaving many sufferers struggling in silence and feeling stigmatized.
This course is critically important, as early and accurate diagnosis is the foundation for effective treatment. By empowering everyone, including medical professionals, to recognize the signs and symptoms of hyperhidrosis, the International Hyperhidrosis Society bridges the gap between patients and the care they desperately need.
