In this tutorial we will solve 2025 WAEC Mathematics EXAMS question on latitude and longitude. Distance along meridian is also known as distance along great circle. The knowledge of how to calculate the length of an arc of a circle is important in calculating the distance along meridian. We use to formula theta over three hundred and sixty degrees times two pi R. R is approximately 6400 km.
The calculation gives the distance along the lines of longitude.
