American strikes have moved beyond radar sites, patrol boats, and command centers. For the first time in this phase of the conflict, bridges, railway lines, airports, and power infrastructure across southern Iran are now being targeted.
In this video, we break down the seventh consecutive night of U.S. strikes and explain why the attacks on bridges around Bandar Abbas could have a much longer-lasting impact than earlier strikes on military hardware. These transportation routes connect Iran’s main naval hub and one of its most important ports to the rest of the country, carrying fuel, equipment, food, repair crews, and military supplies.
We examine the reported strikes on highway and railway bridges across Hormozgan province, the Bandar Abbas railway station, the Chabahar port control tower, and Iranshahr Airport. We also discuss the reported civilian casualties, including a fuel truck caught on one of the bridges during the attack, while clearly separating Iranian state-media claims from independently confirmed information.
The video also covers the renewed U.S. naval blockade, the disabling of the tanker M/T Belma with precision Hellfire missiles, and Washington’s effort to disrupt Iran’s shadow shipping networks and oil-export routes.
Iran responded by launching missiles and drones toward American bases and allied countries, including a reported attack on a power and water desalination facility in Kuwait. That strike marks another serious escalation, because power and desalination infrastructure directly supports civilian life during extreme summer heat.
Both sides are now moving toward infrastructure targets that serve military and civilian purposes. Bridges may carry IRGC resupply convoys, but they are also used by ordinary drivers. Power plants and desalination facilities support military operations, but they also provide electricity and drinking water to millions of people.
Is this new strategy creating an effective logistical siege around Bandar Abbas, or will attacks on civilian-facing infrastructure strengthen Iran’s resistance and deepen the humanitarian cost?
Watch the full video for a detailed breakdown of the bridge strikes, the naval blockade, Iran’s retaliation, the reported casualties, and what this major shift in targeting could mean for the next phase of the war.
