Following the closure, the original hospital complex was left vacant as long-term redevelopment plans slowly took shape. Portions of the property were later incorporated into the Elmwood Crossing project, while other sections of the abandoned healthcare facility remained unused. As maintenance declined, interior spaces deteriorated - ceilings collapsed, water damage spread, and once-secure medical corridors were left exposed to decay.
