In Haileybury’s first episode of Meet our Experts: Staff Spotlight series, Deputy Master, Simon Heard sits down with Tom Wade to discuss how our School is harnessing the power of AI in teaching and learning.
Tom Wade, currently the Assistant Head (Digital Strategy and Learning) at Haileybury, embarked on his educational journey in 2009 as the Head of Philosophy and Ethics at St George's School, Harpenden—his alma mater. His career to date has included roles such as Head of Religious Studies, Head of Humanities, Head of PSHE and teacher of Drama.
Tom's leadership responsibilities extend beyond traditional subjects, as he is at the forefront of Haileybury's approach to AI in education, setting, we feel, Haileybury apart from other independent schools.
In addition to his educational pursuits, Tom is a father of 3, a cinema enthusiast, and a season ticket holder for Arsenal reflecting his diverse interests. With a passion for innovation and future preparation of the pupils for the world of work, Tom Wade is a dynamic educational leader, driving positive change and excellence at Haileybury.
