Dr Simon Park of the University of Surrey explains how and why bioluminescent bacteria glow, and how this led to a fundamental understanding of bacteria with important consequences for disease research.
This participatory bioart event, led and curated by artist Anna Dumitriu, took place at the Wellcome Collection in London, 1st-4th May 2015, playfully guiding visitors through a series of ‘stations’ fusing art, microbiology and history.
